Mary Cheney Gives Birth to Daughter Sarah Lynne, Dick Cheney's Seventh Grandchild
Mary Cheney gave birth to a baby girl named Sarah Lynne Cheney on Wednesday morning in Washington, D.C.
The family released the following statement: "Former Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife, Lynne Cheney, welcomed their seventh grandchild, Sarah Lynne Cheney, Wednesday, November 18, 2009. She weighed 6 lbs., 14 oz and was born at 8:17 A.M. at Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C. Her parents are the Cheneys' daughter Mary and her partner, Heather Poe."
This is the second child for Cheney and her longtime partner, who are raising her son, Samuel David Cheney, together. Cheney has never publicly disclosed the paternity of either of her children.
Cheney, who has worked for a communications firm, is planning to take maternity leave for several months, and then will start a consulting firm with her sister, Liz Cheney.

Moderate, it's people like you the USA doesn't need. If you think this is "natural', it is not. The Cheney's didn't say "proud to announce" and welcomed. Anyway, poor kids - growing up without a 'real' daddy. America's morals are slowly disappearing. Shame, shame, shame.

I find it interesting enough to come back and comment again in that you would bash people for not saying negative things about Cheney's daughter. How strange and twisted is that? Why are you so full of hatred towards people whose beliefs are different than your own, so much so, that you would make negative comments about non existent posters?

Moderate, I'm a Republican and I don't hate gays. I think homosexuality is wrong though, and I don't think it matters whether that person is a Republican or a Democrat. You show your ignorance when you assume that just because someone is a Republican they automatically hate gays.
The only gay Democrat who I see regularly criticized for his sexuality is Barney Frank. But I mean, come on, who can resist making fun of Barney Frank?

Along the same lines, moderate,....where are the hateful comments from the left about the relative of a right-wing politician? Some of the most vile and hateful posts I have ever seen were fired off from the left when Barbara Bush had her heart operation, ie die a slow and painful death, or burn in hell. Is the deafening silence from the left due to the fact that this particular relative is gay? People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. When we shift the paradigm just a little, who is the hypocrite now? Personally, I think all relatives deserve some slack just because of the sacrifices they make just being related to ANY American politician.

It is very ignorant for you to make comments about right wing people being gay haters. Quit stereotyping. You hate it when we stereotype liberals. I have a best friend and a family member who are gay and I lovew them both very much. I am a REPUBLICAN and a CHRISTIAN!!! As Christians we are taught to love everyone. Sexual orientation is nobody's business either way. Oh, and by the way, God loves gays, too!
I am also an environmentalist (tree hugger) and a science major. I also recycle! Break a few more stereotypes?

Their hypocrisy knows no limits. If it wasn't one of their heroes, they'd be bashing gays left and right. I've always thought that if you don't like gays, don't act like a homo, but none of them are listening.

The two facedness of the hatemongers is so apparent given the lack of posts on this story. If it were Chelsea Clinton or any other Democratic daughter who had given birth to a baby of unknown paternity who was to be raised by lesbians, I'm pretty sure the tongues would be wagging!

Exactly..the hate mongers are all over the story about Michelle encouraging school kids..but choose to ignore this story. Republicans have become the party of hatred and hypocrisy. Taking a huge stand against gay marriage while many of their own children are gay and having kids. I guess it's better to not get married? just be two gay partners raising these kids? How dare Michelle Obama talk about how hard it is to get through school..lol..

I wholeheartedly agree. I am very happy for Mary and her partner, as well as her grandparents, and may they all raise a tolerant open-minded child. There will be men in this child's life, as there will be women. It goes back to, it takes a village to raise a child. This child will be raised by two loving parents and grandparents, that is more than a great deal of the students that I teach, who come from heterosexual "pseudo-Christian" homes. Christ loved all people and did not delineate about who they loved, but rather if they were good, loving people.
